
MY JOURNEY
My journey was a whirlwind of activity, a constant pursuit of 'more.' As a backstage hair and makeup technician in the theatre, I juggled demanding hours with rigorous dance training, all while pursuing a Master's degree in Dance Science. I was constantly pushing myself to the limit, fueled by a deep-seated fear of missing out. This relentless pursuit, however, came at a cost. I experienced constant burnout, struggling to focus, and battling a gnawing sense of inadequacy. I was constantly depleted, both physically and mentally, despite my best efforts to maintain balance.
THE TURNING POINT
Motherhood brought on a new set of challenges. Postnatal depression and the revelation of ADHD threw my world into disarray. My coping mechanisms crumbled, and I found myself trapped in a cycle of exhaustion and self-doubt. The trauma of my delivery further compounded these challenges, leaving me feeling disconnected from my body and overwhelmed by the unexpected. However, a turning point arrived when my partner gently reminded me to view this as an opportunity for self-discovery and healing, rather than a failure.


FINDING BALANCE
Everything changed when I got in sync with my menstrual cycle. Making observations of how my moods and energy changed over my cycle helped me to understand myself and also to communicate it to my loved ones. I realised the deep connection between my hormones and energy, and started designing my movement around it to create balance. I began to understand what types of exercise strategies I could use to complement my hormonal cycle symptoms and to show up as the best version of myself.
CYCLE-SYNCED EXERCISE
Movement has always been my medicine; I just needed to get the dosages right. For example, I found that I had the most energy and focus during my follicular phase, allowing me to push myself harder during workouts. During the luteal phase, I prioritised rest and recovery, incorporating more restorative practices like yoga and gentle stretching. By aligning my training with my natural rhythms, I experienced a significant increase in energy levels, reduced fatigue, and improved overall well-being.


THE RESULT
The result? Happiness, calm, sustained energy, and renewed focus. By embracing balance and working with my body, and with the support of therapy, I've transformed my life. I feel empowered, I feel like the highest version of myself, and I respect what my body is trying to tell me. I've learned to channel that same drive and determination that fuelled my athletic career into building a fulfilling and sustainable life, one that honours my body and mind. Importantly, I haven't experienced burnout in nearly two years, and I'm currently the strongest and fittest I've ever been. Furthermore, I've debunked many myths about training during menstruation and now help my clients understand how to listen to their bodies and train effectively throughout their cycle.
MY COACHING PHILOSOPHY
As an Integrative Strength & Conditioning coach with over 14 years of experience helping women, I understand the unique challenges faced by high-achieving women who are juggling multiple roles and responsibilities. I've been there myself – the constant pressure to do it all, the struggle with burnout, and the frustration of feeling like something is always falling through the cracks.

I offer a different approach. I go beyond generic workout plans to address the root causes of my clients' struggles. I help them understand their unique needs, identify their limiting beliefs, and develop sustainable strategies for achieving their goals.

Hormonal awareness: Optimising training and nutrition based on individual hormonal cycles. Neurodiversity-informed strategies: Creating personalised plans that accommodate neurodivergent needs and strengths.
